Laws of Attraction

I'm at it again - working with the laws of attraction. What you focus on you bring into your life. If you focus on the negative - then you bring more of the negative. If you focus on the positive - then you attract more and more of the positive. I've seen it - I KNOW this.

A few posts back I wrote a short blurb - focusing on the positive things I wanted in terms of a home - and over 75% of everything I wrote came true. I'd completely forgotten about the post - but stumbled accross it while updating this blog - and it was eery how much of it had come to be!

So now it's time for a new blurb - a new set of positive thoughts to focus on.
Here it goes:

I am ever so grateful now that we have our warehouse space to share with our martian friends and explore our creative ideas in. It's so amazing to have the high ceilings, the open space, and the ability to work on large projects without worry.

The most amazing part of this new space is the Glass Blowing studio - which is kicking ass. People are renting time to use it and are attracted to the laid back atmosphere and supportive, creative attitude of everyone here.

My Pirate Name

Yarrrrr!

My pirate name is:

Bloody Mary Kidd

Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

SeaCompression 5
Brought to you by Flight to Mars!

What an amazing weekend! What an amazing group of people. What an amazing extended family.

I spent the weekend helping with the production of SeaCompression - a giant, yearly party. It's a kinda "de-compression" for folks who attended burningman back in September - or those who wished they had. A way to feel a part of the community and reconnect with that feeling of freedom and pure, unadulterated fun. I believe we accomplished all that!

Flight to Mars, a theme camp I'm currently a member of, helped fill the huge hanger at Magnesun Park with our very large art installations. It felt so good to build stuff again - and create such an amazing atmosphere. One of my campmates joked all night "Welcome to SeaCompression - Brought to you by Flight to mars!". All in all we supplied five large pieces PLUS sound equipment: Squiddudah bus (or the bus that hath no name), Monstero, The infomous Ball Pit, our Devil Head DJ booth, Stacia + a garden of firetrees, HomoPhobus (yet another bus in our armada) AND our beautiful selves. Yes.. you should have seen whiskey bear - he was quite a site disguised as Jackass... ok - inside jokes - you had to be there.

Of course we weren't the producers of this event - we were just very present on so many levels. It took hundreds of volunteers to make this whole thing happen. Oh - and of course - some seriously insane people to take on organizing the hundreds of volunteers - my hats off to 'em. Nicely done guys!
